My client is seeking an experienced and proactive Intermediate HVAC Building Services Design Engineer to join their dynamic and growing team, operating in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design of HVAC systems, including ventilation, heating, comfort cooling, domestic systems, and drainage, across a wide range of new build and refurbishment retail schemes nationwide.

HVAC Design: Prepare detailed HVAC designs, layouts, and schematics for both preliminary and construction stages, focusing on heating, ventilation, cooling, domestic services, and drainage systems for diverse retail projects.

Site Surveys & Reports: Undertake site surveys and produce detailed reports to ensure that practical design solutions are developed and implemented effectively.

Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and clients to deliver fully compliant and coordinated HVAC design solutions. Ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Attend site meetings as required to support the project delivery team and ensure that design implementation meets the project’s requirements.

A minimum of 4 years of experience working on HVAC system designs, including heating, ventilation, comfort cooling, domestic systems, and above-ground drainage services.

Proficiency in performing design calculations using software such as Hevacomp.

Strong ability to create layout and schematic drawings using AutoCAD.

Good knowledge and understanding of UK Building Regulations, British Standards, relevant HVAC/Water legislation, and CIBSE guidance documents.

Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
