The Opportunity
My client is a hugely successful Engineering group delivering a range of projects and services across the retail and commercial sectors. Due to continued and increasing workload, they are seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Estimator to support the teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate mechanical and electrical cost estimates
- Managing estimating activities
- Pricing variations and supporting commercial negotiations
- Working collaboratively with design and delivery teams
Experience & Technical Knowledge Required
Proven Experience In:
- Building services / M&E contracting environment
- Variation pricing
Strong Technical Understanding Of:
Mechanical:
- Heating and chilled water systems
- Ventilation systems and ductwork
- Sanitaryware and drainage
- Valves, isolation, brackets, and fixings
Electrical:
- Electrical distribution boards
- Containment strategies
- Cabling
- Lighting and controls
- Small power
- Earthing and bonding
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or NVQ equivalent
- HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering
- Minimum 2 years’ practical experience in an M&E estimating role
