The Opportunity

My client is a hugely successful Engineering group delivering a range of projects and services across the retail and commercial sectors. Due to continued and increasing workload, they are seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Estimator to support the teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing accurate mechanical and electrical cost estimates
  • Managing estimating activities
  • Pricing variations and supporting commercial negotiations
  • Working collaboratively with design and delivery teams

Experience & Technical Knowledge Required

Proven Experience In:

  • Building services / M&E contracting environment
  • Variation pricing

Strong Technical Understanding Of:

Mechanical:

  • Heating and chilled water systems
  • Ventilation systems and ductwork
  • Sanitaryware and drainage
  • Valves, isolation, brackets, and fixings

Electrical:

  • Electrical distribution boards
  • Containment strategies
  • Cabling
  • Lighting and controls
  • Small power
  • Earthing and bonding

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or NVQ equivalent
  • HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years’ practical experience in an M&E estimating role
