RMS is excited to be recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to support operations with our client based in Redcar.
- This is an on-going temporary position (minimum of 4 weeks). Monday to Friday shift, 7am-3pm.
About the Role:
Within this role, you will achieve daily production targets by ensuring that machinery, equipment, and processes are operated safely and efficiently, in line with Company Operating Procedures and Health & Safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake tasks in line with standard procedures to produce products, including start of shift checks, operating machinery, using work benches, loading and unloading parts and materials.
- Follow Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Carry out assembly work.
- Participate in Quality Inspections and perform quality checks.
- Packing and labeling produced parts according to specifications.
- Complete paperwork and documentation, such as confirming good parts, rejected parts, parts requiring rework, machining times, and deviations.
- Identify and report machine downtime.
- Escalate technical problems according to the escalation matrix.
- Perform 5S housekeeping duties to maintain standards per EKOS guidelines.
- Assist with other duties in the area as required, such as cleaning.
- Input data into digital downtime spreadsheets (Excel).
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar production environment.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Excel.
