Role Overview:

We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong focus on delivery assurance within complex engineering and marine-based projects. This role is critical to ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while meeting all technical and commercial requirements. Working within a dynamic PMO, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day delivery activities, maintaining accurate project tracking, and ensuring key milestones are met. You will work closely with engineers, planners, and support functions to drive delivery performance and report on project status to key stakeholders. This is a delivery-focused role suited to someone with hands‑on project management experience in marine, shipbuilding, engineering, or defence-related environments.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of assigned projects, ensuring performance against scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Maintain accurate project tracking and reporting tools, producing clear and timely updates on progress, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Identify delivery risks and issues early and support mitigation planning and recovery actions in collaboration with delivery teams.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, production, and support functions to maintain momentum and remove blockers to progress.
  • Support the implementation of project controls, including schedule management, cost tracking, and risk reporting.
  • Work with project controls and planning teams to ensure accurate resource forecasting and schedule integrity.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on delivery objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

  • Proven experience managing delivery within engineering, marine, shipbuilding, or defence project environments.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting processes.
  • Proficiency with project tools such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent, and familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI.
  • Confident communicator with good stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.

Desirable:
