Responsibilities:
- Mechanical engineering project oversight
- Key reviewer; peer-to-peer and gate reviews
- Management of the mechanical engineering project team
- Create and develop work breakdown schedules to manage the engineering team towards project goals and deadlines
- Report progress and identify strengths and weaknesses in delivery
- Support the Head of Mechanical to provide insight to the business strategic vision
- Mentor and support the development of Junior Mechanical Engineers
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of company legislative compliance, HSE and HR requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years industry experience
- A minimum of 3 years experience leading a team
- Ability to create and review components, sub-assemblies and General Arrangements in 3D CAD
- Ability to create and review 2D drawings in conjunction with BS8888
- Proven experience of working in a fast-paced, challenging engineering sector
- Proven experience of delivering complex projects
- Proven experience of leading a cohesive and effective team
- Proven experience of empowering engineers and identifying growth opportunities
- Detailed understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes

Due to the nature of work, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting security requirements, including right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National Security clearance required for certain roles.
