We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to work on a full‑time basis. Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends, nights and Bank Holidays.
Duties include:
- To ensure that the menus on offer satisfy customer needs and market trends.
- Provide clear direction and set high standards and expectations, encouraging a customer‑focused attitude at all times.
- To recognise the importance of teamwork and group dynamics, building and maintaining effective working relationships within the team.
- To adopt a positive and flexible attitude to changing priorities and procedures, including shift changes.
- To ensure that effective communication takes place throughout the team.
- Prioritise and delegate work within the kitchen team, continually looking for ways of improving the overall effectiveness of the team.
- To comply with current Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and Company Health and Safety policy including COSHH and food handling procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience at Sous‑Chef level.
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management.
- Up‑to‑date with culinary trends and optimised kitchen processes.
- Familiar with industry’s best practices.
- Team player with a flexible and professional attitude.
