Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service? Would you like to work in a fun, vibrant industry? We have a vacancy for a Groups & Events Coordinator to join the team at Resorts World Birmingham. You will be responsible for driving sales, converting enquiries, and coordinating bookings from start to finish. This role requires strong selling skills, exceptional organisation, and excellent communication, as you will support multiple departments across Resorts World. You will need to be flexible, proactive, and confident when dealing with both clients and colleagues.

Key responsibilities, skills, experience and behaviours include:

  • Handling new and existing business from start to finish, proactively seeking opportunities for future growth.
  • Responding to all new enquiries within two hours, followed by a courtesy call two hours later.
  • Ensuring all bookings are accurately inputted in line with department procedures.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for organisers and colleagues across the business.
  • Serving as a main point of contact for key accounts, providing a seamless experience throughout the booking journey.
  • Offering the highest level of service and ensuring a smooth, efficient booking process.
  • Prioritising and responding to guest needs promptly and professionally.
  • Conducting venue show rounds to effectively showcase Resorts World.
  • Supporting the operations team with larger or more complex bookings.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and completing thorough handovers when taking leave.
  • Ensuring all accounting information and booking data is accurate.
  • Covering administrative tasks in the absence of the Group & Events Sales Administrator.
  • Adapting to any other reasonable duties as required.
  • Demonstrating an enthusiastic sales focus and genuine passion for converting business.
  • Thriving in a fun yet focused sales environment and maintaining a competitive drive for results.
  • Recognising opportunities to drive revenue and upsell where appropriate.
  • Communicating confidently with event organisers in person, by phone, and by email.
  • Using strong system skills, including Opera Cloud, Opera PMS, Opera Sales & Catering, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Maintaining excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a calm, professional manner under pressure.
  • Taking a positive, proactive approach to all tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
