Resonance is at an inflection point. We are growing the client portfolio, expanding the Agentcy platform, and building a team that operates at the frontier of what modern PR looks like in practice. This is a new-generation Account Manager role. A job with its eye on the future – not with its head in the sand on the winds of change blowing through the economy. Expect a varied role that is not just earned media and client calls - though you will do both, and do them with excellence.

This person will run accounts using Agentcy, our fully integrated PR-Ops platform that covers media intelligence, AI visibility, competitive authority, social influence monitoring, and narrative strategy. You will be one of the most operationally complete PR practitioners in the industry, with experience across strategy, storytelling and your fingers in all the channels.

Most Account Manager roles look the same. You manage a handful of clients, you pitch journalists, you write press releases, you report back at the end of the month. You are good at it. But you have started to wonder if there is more. There is.

We are Resonance - a B2B PR and communications consultancy working with tech brands. Alongside the consultancy, we have built Agentcy, because we believe PR is more than press clippings. We believe PR is a strategic function that supports businesses in their goals. We also believe that execution matters – the right execution. To do both well, the industry needed better infrastructure.

What you will get here that you won’t get elsewhere:

  • A client portfolio where the work actually matters: from global tech consultancies to cutting-edge startups, VCs backing Europe’s next tech leaders and firms helping businesses track risk and impact in a more uncertain world.
  • Trust and autonomy to chart your account’s success – backed by a leadership team with decades of experience in-house and agency.
  • In-depth commitment to your professional development – bringing together personal PDP goals, company lunch & learns, and budget for external training.
  • A clear path to Account Director for the right person.
  • A groundbreaking platform that helps you raise the game in what you can deliver for clients.

If you are 3–5 years into your PR career, you are good at what you do, and you are ready to work somewhere that takes the craft seriously - we would like to hear from you.

What You Will Actually Do:

Strategy & Client Leadership
  • Own the strategic direction across 4-5 client accounts, this is more than an execution role - you will feed into the strategy with the right data and signals.
  • Develop integrated PR strategies that connect earned media, content, AI visibility, competitive positioning, and social influence into one coherent programme.
  • Run client calls with confidence - presenting insights clearly, handling questions directly, and bringing a point of view, not just an update.
  • Spot upsell and expansion opportunities within your accounts and flag them proactively.
  • Contribute to new business pitches and proposals - you understand what a strong programme looks like and you can sell it.
Reporting & Strategic Insight
  • Build monthly coverage reports and board-ready PR diagnostics that go well beyond a coverage count.
  • Track KPI progress against the KPIs that build to the clients goals, not off the shelf PR KPIs.
  • Turn data into narrative - not just what happened, but what it means and what we do next.
  • Brief and manage AEs and grads - setting clear expectations, reviewing output, maintaining quality.
Media & Earned Coverage
  • Build and execute proactive media strategies.
  • Develop story angles, draft pitches, and place coverage across tier 1 and trade media.
  • Identify and respond to newsjacking opportunities in real time - you will have a live feed of relevant news and the tools to move fast.
  • Manage journalist relationships across the media database - tracking who covers what, how they like to be pitched, and what has landed before.
  • Monitor journalist enquiries and match client spokespeople to live opportunities.
  • Brief and place proactive pitches for spokesperson interview opportunities.
Content & Thought Leadership
  • Commission, brief and edit press releases, bylined articles, blog posts, and letters to the editor.
  • Work with spokespeople to develop their voice and positioning - you will know their expertise, their tone, and what makes them credible in their category.
  • Develop commentary and newsjack responses that move fast and land well.
  • Support the creation of social content for client LinkedIn channels and leadership profiles.
AI Visibility & Narrative Intelligence
  • Run regular AI visibility diagnostics - tracking how clients appear in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude responses.
  • Identify narrative gaps and authority weaknesses in how AI describes the client versus competitors.
  • Monitor which pages, press releases, and publications are being cited by LLMs - and feed that insight back into content and media strategy.
  • Track competitor AI visibility and flag shifts in share of voice before clients notice them.
Competitive & Market Intelligence
  • Monitor competitor media coverage, LinkedIn activity, and leadership positioning across client accounts.
  • Identify narrative shifts in the competitive landscape and brief client teams proactively.
  • Track brand mentions, story clusters, and trending topics relevant to each client’s category.
  • Use brand intelligence tools to spot co-mention patterns and emerging category narratives.
Social & Influence Monitoring
  • Monitor client LinkedIn performance — follower growth, engagement trends, post performance.
  • Track influencer activity and trending topics relevant to client sectors.
  • Identify LinkedIn mention and engagement opportunities for client leadership to respond to.
  • Support the social content calendar — briefing, scheduling, and reporting on planned posts.
  • Monitor competitor LinkedIn activity and surface insights for client strategy conversations.

What We Are Looking For:

Essential:
  • 3–5 years of PR or communications experience, ideally B2B or tech-focused agency.
  • Proven media relations track record - you can place a story, not just draft a pitch.
  • Strong writer across all formats - press releases, pitches, commentary, client communications.
  • Experience coordinating across a team and managing junior members.
  • Commercially aware - you understand what clients are paying for and why it matters.
  • Organised, proactive, and honest - you flag problems early and come with solutions.
  • Experience in B2B tech, SaaS, fintech, cyber, or AI sectors.
  • Familiarity with PR monitoring or intelligence tools.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI, generative search, and where the communications industry is heading.
  • Interest in how brands build authority in an AI-first buyer journey.
The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here:
  • You are competitive. You notice when a competitor lands a placement you should have.
  • You are endlessly curious about the world. You are a news junky.
  • You are not satisfied with coverage for coverage's sake. You want to know if it moved the needle - on brand perception, competitive positioning, AI visibility, or commercial pipeline.
  • You are honest. If a pitch isn’t landing, you say so and bring a different idea.
  • You are curious about where the industry is going. AI is reshaping how buyers research, how brands get discovered, and how PR gets measured.
  • You want to work somewhere small enough that your work is visible, your voice is heard, and your growth is real.

Growth Path:

Account Director within 18–24 months for the right person. We have done it before and we will do it again.

Salary & Package:

Between £38,000 and £49,000 depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, a profit share bonus and new business bonuses.
