Resonance is a growing social impact company committed to creating positive and lasting change. As we continue to develop, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Finance Apprentice to join our Finance team in Launceston (Cornwall).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to begin a career in finance and accounting while working for a purpose-led organisation. You will gain practical, hands-on experience as part of our Finance team while studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.

We are looking for someone who is curious, organised, comfortable working with numbers and keen to learn. Previous finance experience is not required – we are much more interested in your potential, attitude and willingness to learn.

HERE’S WHY WE NEED YOU - Purpose

Working alongside experienced professionals in the Finance team, you will provide day-to-day support across a range of financial activities while developing the knowledge and practical skills needed to build a career in finance.

As your knowledge and confidence grow, you will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and be given exposure to different areas of the company's finances.

  • Understanding how different financial reports are prepared and assisting with data collection to enable this
  • Reviewing, checking and processing staff expenses
  • Reconciling the company debit cards
  • Responding to routine finance queries from colleagues, investees, investors and suppliers
  • Learning different financial software and tools
  • Learning how to handle financial and personal information appropriately and confidentially
  • Providing general administrative support to the Finance team

    YOUR APPRENTICESHIP

As well as gaining direct finance experience, you will be studying towards achieving a recognised accounting qualification. We will provide paid leave for taking exams and revision time and pay for the study materials needed for your course. If you choose to study via day release, then in addition to your 9-day fortnight, we will also provide additional paid training leave so that your weekly college days are fully paid.

You will be supported by both your training provider and colleagues within our Finance team, enabling you to apply what you learn directly in the workplace.

We want this apprenticeship to provide a strong foundation for a long-term career in finance, with opportunities to develop further as both you and the organisation grow.
