We empower organisations to make informed decisions, drive business development and innovation, and achieve their strategic objectives in the rapidly evolving space sector.

Role Overview: As a Space Strategy Manager at Space Insider, you will lead strategy and commercial consulting engagements across the space, aerospace, defence, investment, government, and advanced technology sectors, translating client objectives into structured workplans, managing project execution and timelines, reviewing analysis, and delivering clear, commercially relevant recommendations. Alongside leading and managing projects, the role carries a strong business-development focus, working directly with the Managing Director to develop client opportunities, proposals, and project scoping. You will also manage and develop consultants and analysts, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant with approximately 5 to 8 years of relevant experience who is ready to step into their first formal Manager role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy and commercial consulting engagements from mobilisation through to final delivery, across the space, aerospace, defence, investment, government, and advanced technology sectors.
  • Translate client objectives into clear project scopes, workplans, analytical frameworks, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Own project execution, managing timelines, priorities, resources, risks, and output quality.
  • Act as the principal day-to-day client contact, leading meetings, workshops, and selected presentations.
  • Oversee market modelling, research, and analysis, and ensure findings translate into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Review and quality-assure presentations, reports, models, market maps, and recommendations.
  • Manage and develop consultants and analysts, providing direction, feedback, and coaching.
  • Work with the Managing Director and Commercial Lead on business development, proposals, and project scoping.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Approximately 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in space consulting, strategy consulting, aerospace strategy, commercial advisory, market intelligence, or a related environment.
  • Experience leading or substantially managing client-facing consulting engagements, such as market-entry, growth strategy, commercial due diligence, market opportunity, go-to-market, or business case projects.
  • Evidence of managing project plans, timelines, team members, risks, and deliverable quality.
  • Experience working directly with clients and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel-based market-modelling, forecasting, and quantitative-analysis skills, including TAM/SAM/SOM and scenario analysis.
  • Excellent PowerPoint, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong client-deliverable capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial and institutional space ecosystem, including areas such as satellite communications, Earth observation, launch, propulsion, defence space, ground segment, in-orbit services, and downstream applications.
  • Experience contributing to proposals, project scopes, pitches, or other business-development activities.
  • Strong commercial judgement, analytical discipline, and attention to detail, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and make informed delivery decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, managing multiple priorities and taking ownership without detailed instruction.
  • The ambition and readiness to step from Senior Consultant into a formal Manager role.

Benefits:

  • Competitive remuneration.
  • Fully flexible, remote-first working.
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership, working closely with the Managing Director.
  • A leadership role in a fast-growing Space business, benefiting from the resources and insights of the wider Resonance group.
  • The opportunity to help shape and grow Space Insider's consulting practice.
  • A highly collaborative and supportive team environment, with meaningful scope for career progression as the business scales.
