Senior Software Engineer

This role can be UK remote

The Role:

We are looking for a senior software engineer to work on interesting projects here at Resolver. To join our team, you will be experienced in writing and maintaining high performance code in C# or Javascript.

As a senior engineer you will be participating in the entire software development life cycle, and will be working on a wide variety of projects as part of our product roadmap. You’ll be capable of working on your own or leading small teams of engineers to deliver agile projects.

The opportunity offers the chance to work for a company that produces some of the most advanced technology in the world – technology that is utilised by some of the largest social media environments and games companies across the globe.

There is also an opportunity to act as mentor and go to person for the associate developers and other less experienced members of the team.

Directly Responsible Individual:

1. Writing code
2. Writing unit tests
3. Demoing features to stakeholders and the wider business
4. Is responsible for the quality of the software created.
5. Interacts and partners with various stakeholders
6. Share knowledge and best practice.

The “What”:

1. Analyse system requirements
2. Write clean, testable code using C# or Javascript
3. Test and debug various applications
4. Review and refactor code
5. Deploy fully functional applications
6. Support junior developers’ work
7. Document development and operational procedures

Essential Criteria:

1. Work experience as a professional software developer
2. Proficiency in building web-based applications
3. In-depth knowledge of at least one of the following languages: C# or Javascript
4. Experience of using automated environment build tooling (ideally Azure Devops)
5. Troubleshooting abilities
6. Good communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

1. Google Cloud Platform
2. Octopus Deploy
3. Agile Project delivery (ideally Kanban)
