Head of Compliance (Full-time, Office based – Paisley, Renfrewshire)

ROLE:
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as the Head of Compliance, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This critical role is responsible for overseeing and managing all compliance-related activities throughout the organisation, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies to minimise risk and safeguard both our and our client’s reputation. The successful candidate will possess significant knowledge of regulatory and industry compliance rules and guidelines that govern our industry, specifically FCA and CSA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage Core Compliance: Oversee the core compliance service, monitor KPIs, and provide assurance to the Executive Board.
  2. Maintain Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated with regulatory developments and provide pragmatic and commercially sensitive regulatory support, guidance, and oversight to the business.
  3. Policy and Process Development: Manage the development and implementation of policies, processes, procedures, and Management Information (MI) reports to comply with legislative requirements and industry best practices.
  4. Team Management: Lead and manage the compliance team, providing coaching and mentoring to achieve outstanding levels of delivery, performance, challenge, oversight, and visibility.
  5. Complaint Management: Take responsibility for complaint management within the business, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Conduct root cause analysis to identify key trends and improve customer outcomes.
  6. Risk Framework Oversight: Manage and oversee the risk framework within the business to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks effectively. Conduct regular Health and Safety risk assessments and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  7. External Audits: Lead and support all external audits, providing assurance that the business meets its regulatory obligations and governance framework.
  8. Senior Leadership Guidance: Provide guidance and advice to senior leaders on risk and compliance issues.
  9. Consumer Duty Compliance: Ensure the requirements of the Consumer Duty are met within Resolvecall, maintaining a focus on fair treatment of customers and client outcomes.
  10. Regulatory Liaison: Act as liaison with regulatory authorities, trade associations, and other parties to clarify and resolve compliance issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: Extensive knowledge of financial regulations and compliance, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an SMF role required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to engage with regulators and stakeholders, strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and an investigative nature required.
