About the Role
Resolve Recruitment Services are recruiting Senior Residential Childcare Workers on behalf of a residential childcare provider in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced childcare professionals looking to take the next step in their career. You will play a key role in supporting the management team, leading by example, and helping to create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Residential Childcare Workers.
- Support the day-to-day running of the home alongside the management team.
- Assist with the implementation and review of individual care plans.
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people through high-quality care and support.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Monitor, record, and report on children’s progress, wellbeing, and development.
- Support behaviour management strategies and therapeutic interventions.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with external professionals, agencies, and family members where appropriate.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and child-centred culture within the home.
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards) – Essential.
- Level 4 or Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare – Desirable.
- Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting.
- Experience supporting or mentoring staff within a care environment.
- Good understanding of child development, attachment theory, and trauma-informed practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
- Flexible approach to working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Full UK Driving Licence – Essential.
