We are currently looking for an exceptional Deputy Nurse Manager to work in Horfield, Bristol. We are looking for a candidate with strong nursing and managerial experience.

Our care home is a group of four nursing homes in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. We provide top quality, best value, holistic care to our residents, and are an established company with a good reputation. We take pride in the quality of care we provide and the environment we provide it in.

Responsibilities and duties for the Deputy Nurse Manager role are:

  • Responsible for Assessing Care needs
  • To work closely with the Home Manager for the upkeep of audits and to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee resident care, ensuring it meets the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals visiting Field House to ensure best care provided to our residents.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care.
  • Supervise and provide mentorship, support and guidance to qualified and unqualified staff, via supervisions, appraisals as well as in-house and external training programmes in conjunction with the training manager.
  • Designated to take charge of the nursing home in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
  • Return to work process and interviews following sickness.
  • Participate in interviewing staff members as required.
  • Support the home’s and group’s management teams in all management discussions/decisions.
  • Responsible for planning and monitoring nursing and care duty rotas.

Requirements for the Deputy Nurse Manager role:

  • Current registration with the NMC
  • At least 18 months experience in a managerial role
  • Excellent IT skills, confident to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • A sound understanding of the processes and regulations around running a Nursing Home.
  • To be part of an on call rota
