The Role: In this position, you will collaborate with the Repairs Team to provide top-tier Painting & Decorating solutions across our client's housing portfolio. The focus is on exceptional customer care and achieving a "Right First Time" result. You will handle a diverse range of refurbishment, upkeep, and renewal Painting & Decorating tasks in both occupied and empty (void) properties, utilising a provided company vehicle to commute between sites. Key Responsibilities: Act as a professional face for our client, upholding company values and providing stellar service. Troubleshoot and resolve repair issues quickly, aiming to finish the job in one single visit. Execute various painting, decorating and property refurbishment duties. Adhere strictly to health and safety laws, risk assessments, and secure operational methods. Maximise daily productivity, reduce material waste, and oversee van inventory effectively. Work reliably across the required 40-hour weekly rota, ensuring absolute punctuality for resident appointments. Coordinate with management and colleagues to elevate service standards and tenant satisfaction. Keep precise, up-to-date work records using mobile applications and internal company platforms. Spot and escalate potential safeguarding matters while looking for ways to improve internal processes. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: A completed, accredited Painting & Decorating apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Painting & Decorating. Exceptional skills and work experience within Painting and Decorating Solid understanding of health and safety mandates and regulations. Top-tier communication capabilities with a background in customer-facing environments. A valid, full UK driving licence. Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills, with a commitment to high-calibre craftsmanship. Due to the nature of the role, the post holder will be subject to an enhanced DBS check (criminal record check) if you are to be successful.
