HR Advisor / Recruiter
Location: South East Manchester
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum
Job Type: Full Time
Reporting to: Group HR Manager
The Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in South East Manchester for an experienced HR Advisor / Recruiter.
Working closely with the Group HR Manager and management team, you will provide HR support across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on recruitment. This will include managing vacancies from initial requirement through to advertising, interviewing, selection and onboarding.
You will also provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters and support the business in maintaining a positive, compliant and engaging workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Support HR activities across the full employee lifecycle.
• Manage the recruitment process from vacancy through to onboarding.
• Write and advertise vacancies and conduct interviews.
• Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Support investigations and performance management.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, including time and attendance.
• Support employee wellbeing initiatives and promote a positive site culture.
• Ensure HR practices comply with current employment legislation and company policies.
• Provide cover for the Group HR Manager when required.
Experience & Skills
• Minimum A Level / Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience in an HR Advisor or similar role.
• Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment is essential.
• Experience managing employee relations cases.
• Good knowledge of UK employment law and the employee lifecycle.
• Previous recruitment experience, including interviewing and onboarding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confident using HR systems, databases and Microsoft Office.
• Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working to deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence is essential as occasional travel to the companies other sites in West Manchester and also Milton Keynes will be required to meet business need.
