Bindmans LLP’s Family department is looking for a highly motivated solicitor specialising in international child abduction/contact and modern family matters.
The successful candidate should be at least 8+ years qualified, preferably with a following. You will handle a varied caseload of cross-border child abduction and contact cases and working to grow our modern families offering.
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing an active and interesting caseload as well as assisting senior members of the team and should have knowledge and experience of the legal aid scheme.
There is the possibility that this position could lead to permanent role at the end of the fixed term period.
• Qualified solicitor with an excellent track record and a solid academic background
• Broad experience in family law, with a focus on cross-border child abduction/contact and modern family matters (surrogacy, adoption, assisted conception, single parents, LGBTQ+ couples)
• Membership of the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit (ICACU) is essential
• Experience of Abduction law, international and domestic relocation cases is essential
• Experience of international adoption and other areas of modern family work an advantage
• Knowledge of Legal Aid is essential
• Resolution Specialist Accreditation in abduction or Law Society Advanced Accreditation in child abduction and wardship is essential
• Children’s panel accreditation an advantage or keen to pursue
