A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious family Solicitor or Legal Executive who wants a solid, successful, and long term career to join a Lexcel accredited high street practice with an established family law department. You will be joining a thriving practice with an excellent local reputation having served the legal needs of the local community and further afield for over 40 years.
We are a very friendly firm, with a family feel and many of our people have been with us for many years. We previously achieved an Investor in People Gold award for our commitment to our people which has included training many from junior level to qualified solicitors, some of whom have gone on to become equity partners. We are committed to training and succession and to providing partnership opportunities. We are also committed to providing a high standard of client care to all our clients and most of our clients come to us on recommendation.
You will ideally be a 3-5+ years PQE solicitor or legal executive. You will have a sound knowledge of the law and practice in relation to all areas of family law to include divorce & separation, financial matters, TOLATA, domestic abuse, and private children law. You will have experience of managing your own caseload, be able to prioritise when working under pressure and be able to meet deadlines. You should be confident in working without supervision.
You will be expected to assist with an existing caseload initially with a view to building your own caseload. You will be self-sufficient, self-motivated, and passionate about this area of law. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and experience and confidence in Advocacy.
