We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our growing team, delivering high-quality retail and commercial fit‑out and refurbishment projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing projects from initial brief through to successful completion. Working closely with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. While many of our projects are within the retail sector, we also deliver projects across a range of commercial environments, offering variety and opportunities to broaden your experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the successful delivery of retail and commercial fit‑out and refurbishment projects from pre‑construction through to completion and handover.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, strong relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, coordinating resources and activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Lead and coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, costs and risks, taking proactive action to resolve issues and protect project profitability.
  • Conduct regular site visits, progress reviews and client meetings, providing updates and ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures and all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project documentation, reporting, procurement activities and change control processes throughout delivery.
  • Oversee project completion, snagging and final handover, ensuring all contractual and client requirements have been achieved.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery, client experience and operational performance.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing retail fit‑out, refurbishment, construction or commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, programme management and budget control.
  • Experience working within fast‑track project environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong organisational, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • SMSTS, FAW, Asbestos Awareness, Temp Works Coordination, CSCS Gold or above.
