Manufacturing Engineer Location: Leicester, UK Employment Type: Full-Time Salary £30,000 – £40,000 per annum About Us We are a leading precision engineering company specializing in the production of high-quality components. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we take pride in delivering superior products to our clients. Job Purpose Engineering manufacturing frontline role supporting manufacturing cells with problem solving, setting issues and product manufacturing issues. Engineering control and process improvements/modifications as necessary to maintain product conformity and orders remain mobile throughout the manufacturing cells in-line with daily performance targets. Actively assess areas and improve to achieve a robust standardised process/capability through detailed procedures and training. Root cause and detailed problem solving to improve processes efficiency and reduce reoccurring issues, scrap and rework. Work closely with Planning Control Engineers ensuring feedback to improve engineering plans and control. Duties Support manufacturing areas (operators/supervision) with strong problem solving and manufacturing related issues to ensure customer orders remain mobile to achieve OTIF. Support areas to achieve daily performance targets for output, reduced scrap, rework and non-conformance. Manage and implement process modification in tooling, work holding, layout, programming etc. to achieve sustained product conformity. Investigate root cause and corrective actions with strong problem solving and fixes to improve processes, reduce MRRs, rework and scrap from reoccurring failures. Review MRRs and investigate and make engineering additions to the process as necessary to ensure customer compliance and throughput of orders within manufacturing.
