Logistics Administrator Logistics Administrator Location: Coventry, Warwickshire Logistics Administrator Pay rates: £35,000 Starting Salary Monday to Friday Day Shifts Logistics Administrator Job role: • Assist the Group Transport Manager with the day-to-day running and coordination of the Transport Department. • Provide assistance and cover for the transport function during periods of absence or increased workload. • Assist with planning delivery routes to support cost-effective transportation. • Schedule drivers and coordinate daily transport requirements. • Book deliveries with customers and ensure delivery arrangements are clearly communicated. • Respond promptly and professionally to customer delivery queries and resolve issues where possible. • Liaise closely with the Sales Support Team to ensure customer requirements and delivery commitments are understood and met. • Work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams to coordinate stock availability and delivery schedules. • Liaise with external transport companies and suppliers as required. • Provide driver cover or assist with alternative transport arrangements in the event of short-term disruption. • Monitor changes to delivery requirements and take appropriate action to minimise delays or disruption. • Maintain accurate records and ensure relevant transport and delivery information is updated promptly. • Support the identification and implementation of improvements to transport processes and procedures. • Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with company policies, health and safety requirements and quality standards. What we are looking for in an Logistics Administrator: • Strong communication skills. • Minimum of intermediate computer ability. • Excellent organisational skills. • Must work well with others and as an individual • Strong telephone communication skills.
