We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Ops Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient logistics processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and warehouse systems to contribute to continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
Shifts: Rotating Shifts Approximately 05:00 - 13:00, 09:00 - 17:00, 16:00 - 23:59.
Duties:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities managing between 30 - 40 staff members.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high standard of productivity and safety.
- Manage transportation logistics using advanced systems such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Utilise ERP systems and AS400 platforms for inventory control, order processing, and reporting.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimise warehouse layout and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to streamline supply chain processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven supervising experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including logistics, shipping & receiving, and transportation management systems.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400, and process improvement methodologies like continuous improvement strategies.
- Familiarity with 3PL providers and third-party logistics operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage profit & loss accounts effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead teams towards operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using ERP systems for reporting and decision-making.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to warehousing activities.
