Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform sampling, analysis, and identification of contamination using light microscopy, chemical tests, FTIR, and SEM/EDX.
- Interpret complex data using literature, databases, and personal expertise to deliver sound scientific conclusions.
- Communicate findings clearly and professionally to customers, both in writing and through presentations.
- Represent the team in external meetings, conferences, and client interactions, promoting our capabilities and services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of scientific innovation and technological advancements relevant to the field.
- Share knowledge and experience with the team, train junior staff.
- Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of all experimental work in line with Resolian and cGMP procedures.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of laboratory capabilities and service offerings.
Skills, Education & Qualifications:
- BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, Forensic Science or a related discipline (essential).
- Ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in analytical roles (essential).
- Proven expertise in spectroscopic techniques including FTIR and SEM/EDX (essential) and experience with chromatography, dissolution and other techniques (desirable).
- Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to present scientific concepts to non-experts and build client relationships (essential).
- Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for promoting laboratory services externally (essential).
- Ability to operate flexibly and manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment (essential).
- Meticulous attention to detail and high standards of scientific integrity (essential).
- Understanding of cGMP principles and regulatory expectations (desirable).
