We are looking for a proactive, technically minded Automation Technician / Specialist to step into an established role focused on automated sample preparation. You will help strengthen and expand this capability, ensuring automation is effectively integrated as a core part of our operational workflow. The successful candidate will support the development, operation, and continuous improvement of automated sample preparation processes. Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining the automated sample pipetting platform to ensure accurate and efficient sample processing.
- Working closely with operational teams to coordinate and schedule sample workflows.
- Maintaining accurate records in full compliance with GLP requirements.
- Providing troubleshooting support to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Contributing to process optimisation initiatives, including potential involvement in method development and programming on automated systems.
Skills, Education & Qualifications
- Self-motivated, with the ability to use initiative to advance automated sample preparation processes.
- Enthusiastic about automation and able to advocate for its value to help embed new technologies across teams.
- Experience with the Hamilton STAR platform—particularly method programming—would be highly advantageous.
