We are a GMP analytical laboratory specialising in materials characterisation and early-phase CMC support. As we expand into early formulation and small-scale prototype development, we are seeking an Analytical & Formulation Lead to strengthen our LC capabilities and help build our emerging pre- & early-formulation offering. This role is ideal for an experienced analytical scientist who enjoys hands-on science, cross-functional collaboration, and shaping new capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead HPLC/UPLC method development, optimisation, and validation.
  • Design and interpret forced degradation and impurity studies.
  • Provide oversight, troubleshooting, and mentoring for scientists.
  • Support the physicochemical characterization and materials assessment of the candidates.
  • Design API–excipient compatibility and stress studies.
  • Support small-scale blending, compression trials, and prototype evaluation.
  • Act as scientific and project lead for client projects.
  • Drive new preformulation capabilities and workflows.

Skills, Education & Qualifications Required:

  • Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Analytical Chemistry or related field.
  • Strong experience in HPLC/UPLC method development.
  • Exposure to preformulation or solid-state characterisation.
  • Experience in GMP environments.
  • Experience with formulation techniques.
  • Experience of statistical and data assessment tools.
  • Familiarity with PXRD, DSC, TGA, DVS.
  • Experience establishing new lab capabilities.
