Overview

We are hiring for a 12-month fixed term contract a Clinical Applications Specialist (covering South Central England) to join us as soon as possible. This is a remote position, and we are looking for candidates based in this area.

Let\’s talk about the role:

Your primary objective is to provide clinical and educational support to ensure proper understanding and application of all ResMed products, systems and software by customers; to assist the sales force in support, development and expansion of new and existing accounts through in-service training, clinical support and training programs.

You will also work closely to develop and maintain high-quality support to ResMed\’s sleep portfolio, delivering consistently high standards of care, support and service to all customers. Support internal customer (ResMed employees) in developing and maintaining market-leading clinical and ResMed devices and services knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the respective Key Account Manager/s, Product Managers, and Function Heads to develop and deliver clinical and product training programs to customers in support of ResMed business objectives and local territory plans.
  • Increase awareness of ResMed\’s brand and products, ensuring the highest quality training is provided, which produces the greatest return on resource and time investment in the specific account.
  • Develop positive, professional relationships with key clinical and nursing staff. Ensure that ResMed builds a competitive advantage through its clinical leadership and support. Ensure speedy resolution of any issues and that an excellent customer experience is received.
  • Support customers as required for initial patient set-up and provision of ongoing clinical support. Support and drive technical and clinical implementation of projects and studies.
  • Update and maintain all customer contacts and interactions within SalesForce.com (customer relationship management software) in a timely manner.
  • Commitment to personal development, maintaining a high level of clinical and technical knowledge to enhance effectiveness and credibility within role and credibility, cementing ResMed leadership in the field.
  • Assist with marketing activities and product evaluations and launches, including attendance at conferences.
  • Provide training and support as required to ResMed staff to ensure a high degree of understanding and competency with ResMed products.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the rotation of the running of ResMed’s private clinic based in London.
  • Support the clinical application team in customer service delivery as required.
  • Proactively work to establish and nurture new and existing relationships with referring private physicians and NHS accounts with service provision contacts, or those who could potentially refer into our private clinic service.

Position challenges

  • The ability to assimilate complex information on a wide range of clinical products and solutions.
  • The ability to disseminate such knowledge in a teaching and/or clinical environment to current and potential customers is relevant and business focused.
  • Maintaining awareness and up-to-date understanding of current thinking and best clinical practice in areas relevant to ResMed business.
  • The ability to work remotely as part of a field-based clinical team, maintaining clear and open communication with all stakeholders.
  • The ability to combine the primary objective of clinical learning for customers and accounts with the ResMed objective of commercialising ResMed\’s portfolio of products and services.

Position specific skills

  • Strong clinical knowledge.
  • A knowledge of Sleep Apnoea and mechanical ventilation and clinical solutions for their treatment is a plus.
  • The ability to work remotely as part of a field-based clinical team.
  • The ability to operate in a commercial context.
  • The ability to remain objective and independent when supporting clinicians with individual patients.
  • Ability to communicate, teach, and coach customers and team colleagues on our devices and services\’ clinical applications.

Qualifications and experience

  • Relevant clinical qualification.
  • Registered General Nurse / Sleep and Respiratory Physiologist.
  • Working knowledge of the NHS.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience
  • Sleep / ventilation background or experience is a plus.
  • Clinical experience in the provision of a high-quality clinical service.
  • Able to demonstrate strong communication skills in groups and 1:1s.
