Role Overview
Join a trusted retail banking client as a key contributor to a large‑scale payments transformation programme, focused on legacy‑to‑digital migration of critical systems. This hands‑on testing role ensures high‑quality delivery, regulatory compliance and a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end testing.
- Validate high‑volume and real‑time payment flows, including error handling & reconciliation.
- Support UAT cycles in collaboration with business users.
- Log, track, and manage defects through to closure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, delivery managers, and technology teams.
- Provide test evidence, status reporting, and metrics to Test Managers.
- Support release validation, cutover planning, and production readiness.
Key Skills & Experience
- Hands‑on experience as a Test Analyst in retail banking/financial services.
- Experience with real‑time/faster payments systems.
- Knowledge of legacy‑to‑digital transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of payments processing, transaction banking, and integration points.
- Experience in System, Integration, Regression, and UAT testing.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.
- Awareness of test automation approaches – hands‑on automation not required.
- Knowledge of BACS, CHAPS, SEPA, ACH, RTGS, and SWIFT.
- Experience in high‑volume transaction banking environments.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models in regulated banking.
