Our mission goes beyond individual support; we actively challenge and disrupt the systems that perpetuate inequalities in our society. With a proven track record of delivering effective support services, in 2024, we helped house over 1,400 individuals and provided support to over 500 of our service users, helping them to achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives in their new country.
We are now looking for an Employability Mentor to join us in Coventry on a full-time basis, for a one year fixed-term contract.

What Youโll Be Doing
As an Employability Mentor, you will support refugees and migrants to build confidence, develop skills and move into employment through personalised guidance and practical employability support. Working directly with clients, you will deliver one-to-one mentoring and workshops focused on career planning, job search and training opportunities, helping individuals to identify their goals, strengths and next steps. You will support clients to secure work or training, encourage resilience and motivation, and provide CEIAG and in-work support for up to three months after employment begins to help ensure sustained outcomes.
Additionally, you will:
- Support clients attending community events to aid integration
- Attend ESOL classes with clients and encourage English practice in real-life scenarios
- Complete enrolment sign-ups and associated administrative tasks
- Attend job fairs, ACH-led events and work with local partners to identify opportunities
What Weโre Looking For
To be considered as an Employability Mentor, you will need:
- Experience offering mentoring, advice, and guidance to service users in a previous role
- Experience working with refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers
- Knowledge of Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) guidelines and framework
- The ability to work on CRM systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across different cultures and communities
- At least a Level 2 qualification in English Language
