We are seeking an experienced Residential Maintenance Supervisor to join a fast-growing real estate company with a residential portfolio of 1,500 units and a future pipeline of around 4,000 apartments.
Working alongside the Head of Maintenance and wider operations team, you will oversee the day-to-day maintenance of multiple residential buildings.
You will lead, train, and support a team of in-house maintenance engineers while also working hands-on when required to ensure repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the maintenance team across residential blocks
- Plan and manage preventative maintenance schedules
- Oversee day-to-day repairs and resident maintenance requests
- Carry out regular property inspections
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire safety, and building regulations
- Manage contractors for specialist works and larger projects
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and compliance documents
- Monitor tools, materials, stock, and equipment
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a residential maintenance or supervisory role
- Strong technical knowledge of general building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Experience managing maintenance teams and contractors
- Good understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
- Confident using Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems
- Full driving licence is essential
- Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in maintenance, plumbing, electrical, or a related trade
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification
- Experience with residential block management software
