At Residential Management Group (RMG), compliance sits at the heart of everything we do – protecting our customers, our clients and our colleagues. We're looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to play a key role in supporting the delivery of statutory and regulatory compliance across our managed portfolio. This is a varied and high-impact role, working closely with internal stakeholders and external compliance providers to ensure high standards are consistently met across core compliance, asset testing and asset hazards. You'll take ownership of supplier performance against agreed SLAs, respond to a wide range of compliance-related enquiries, and support the Compliance Manager with reporting, audits and risk reduction activity. This role also provides the opportunity to deputise for the Compliance Manager where required.
Where will I be working? Based full time at our offices in Northwich (CW9 7LN). After probation will be 4 days office based and 1 day working from home - 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing relationships with compliance service providers, including monitoring performance against agreed SLAs.
- Undertaking regular performance review meetings with external providers and resolving issues professionally.
- Ensuring statutory Health & Safety requirements are met across relevant modules, including Fire Risk Assessments, Water Risk Assessments, EICRs, LOLERs and Fire Safety Regulations (England) 2022.
- Supporting and guiding Compliance Officers to ensure compliance instructions are raised and completed within required timescales.
- Assessing and responding to compliance-related enquiries from colleagues, customers and third parties.
- Monitoring and managing hazards arising from asset testing reports, escalating and reporting risks as required.
- Supporting the preparation of monthly board reports, providing data insights and commentary.
- Carrying out audits and data ‘dip checks' to identify irregularities and support resolution.
- Deputising for the Compliance Manager when required, including delegating tasks and supporting team development.
What we're looking for:
Essential:- Experience within compliance or health & safety administration role.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in dealing with external suppliers.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Intermediate Excel skills (V-lookups, X-lookup, pivot tables).
- Experience in property management or residential block management.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting colleague development.
