We're looking for a Property Assessor to join our growing Asset Compliance team within Osterna. In this field‑based role, you'll play a key part in delivering a programme of safety, compliance and property‑related inspections across our portfolio, helping to ensure homes and communal areas remain safe, compliant and well maintained. This is a varied role that will suit someone who enjoys working independently, travelling to sites, and producing high‑quality, accurate reports. This is a field-based role covering Scotland, predominantly Glasgow and Edinburgh, you'll be convenient based to cover your portfolio in these locations and surrounding areas Key dates for Applicants We will be interviewing for this role in August 2026 What you'll be doing Carrying out fire asset checks in line with internal procedures, accurately identifying and reporting any risks or defects Completing full domestic EPC assessments, including measurements, data capture, photographic evidence and lodgement Undertaking on‑site property inspections of communal and demised areas, capturing clear evidence and escalating issues where required Supporting additional inspection types as the service develops Maintaining accurate, high‑quality inspection records and submitting findings within agreed timescales Working flexibly across locations and, where required, adjusting working hours (including occasional evenings or weekends) to meet service needs Representing Osterna and RMG professionally at all times when interacting with residents, clients and colleagues What we're looking for Essential: Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high‑quality assessment reports Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and web‑based platforms Excellent organisation and time‑management skills Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner Ability to undertake regular site visits, including walking and stair use Desirable: Experience working in residential or social housing environments Previous experience of property inspections, fire asset checks or compliance‑related roles What does RMG have to offer you?
