At RMG, part of the Places for People Group, we're passionate about creating well‑maintained, welcoming places for people to live. We're now looking for an experienced Lead Decorator to play a key role within our Estate Team at Beaufort Park, leading by example and supporting the delivery of high‑quality decorating works across the site.
Where will I be working and what hours?
Full time at our Beaufort Park development (NW9 5EN) – 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8 am until 4 PM
What's the role about?
As our Lead Decorator, you'll combine hands‑on decorating with day‑to‑day team leadership, helping to maintain high standards, improve efficiency and support a positive, inclusive team culture. You'll oversee quality, support health and safety compliance, manage materials and stock, and ensure work is completed to a consistently high standard — all while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of what you do.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and supervising the decorating team on site
- Maintaining high quality standards across all decorating works
- Ensuring health & safety compliance at all times
- Keeping accurate records of attendance, stock and materials
- Planning and ordering materials in advance
- Communicating clearly with your team and management
- Supporting the delivery of management priorities and site objectives
- Creating an inclusive, positive working environment
What we're looking for:
Essential:
- Proven experience as a decorator
- Strong knowledge of decorating techniques, tools and materials
- A good understanding of on‑site health & safety requirements
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
Desirable:
- Demonstratable team leader/supervisor experience
- NVQ, Diploma, or City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating
- First Aid certification
- Health & Safety qualifications or strong working knowledge
