Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Estate Operative Department is responsible for waste management and cleanliness of the development. This includes carpark maintenance and upkeep of communal areas to ensure Beaufort Park (London NW9) remains a pleasant and high-standard place to live for all residents.

Rota:

\n

Sunday to Thursday (Friday and Saturday off) - 35 hours per week 8 AM – 4 PM

\n

Main Duties:

\n

    \n
  • Resolve problems and adhere to health and safety guidelines, SOPs, and Risk Assessments.
  • \n

  • Work collaboratively with other contractors or maintenance workers.
  • \n

  • Be resourceful, self-motivated, and flexible.
  • \n

  • Physically strong and capable of working with machinery or moving heavy equipment.
  • \n

  • Work individually as well as part of a team.
  • \n

  • Good communication skills.
  • \n

  • General knowledge of machinery, Bin Tug, Compactor, Bailer, Sweepers, and other items used in waste collection and maintenance cleaning.

Specific Duties:

\n

    \n
  • Move metal/plastic bins on and off trailers.
  • \n

  • Clear or clean general areas as directed by Supervisor/Management.
  • \n

  • Disassemble, move, and shift furniture or equipment.
  • \n

  • Empty residential bulk waste.
  • \n

  • Drive Tug (if in possession of a full driving license) and inform the Development Manager if you have a full license.
  • \n

  • Wash down carparks and clear away cobwebs and litter as directed.
  • \n

  • Jet wash hard surfaces, carparks, main footpaths, and podiums.
  • \n

  • Work in the compactor room on the bailer and compactor.
  • \n

  • Remove rubbish by litter picking, emptying communal bins, and wiping down surfaces.
  • \n

  • Sweep out block bin rooms daily and ensure the area is clean and tidy.
  • \n

  • Wash down block bin rooms once a week to maintain high standards.
  • \n

  • Unblock bin chutes as directed.
  • \n

  • Maintain property exterior throughout different seasons, including using rock salt for icy or snowy conditions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in estates/cleaning/caretaker role

  • A full UK drivers license and access to own vehicle
