We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to take ownership of and build a best-in-class AR function within a fast-growing residential property platform. Build something from the ground up!
This is not a “business as usual” role. You'll be joining at an early stage, with the opportunity to design processes, implement systems, and shape how receivables are managed across a growing portfolio of homes. The Role
You will lead the end-to-end accounts receivable function, taking full responsibility for how income flows through the business — from billing and rent collection through to arrears management and reporting.
Starting as a hands‑on individual contributor, you will play a key role in setting up systems, controls and processes, before scaling the function and building out a team as the portfolio grows.
Key responsibilities include:
AR Operations & Performance
- Manage all aspects of AR including billing, rent collection, reconciliations, cash allocation and arrears management
- Deliver accurate, timely reporting and ensure clean, audit-ready ledgers
- Implement strong financial controls and ensure compliance with audit requirements
- Lead the month‑end AR process and maintain full data integrity
Process Build & System Implementation
- Design and implement AR procedures, controls and policies from the ground up
- Play a key role in property management system implementation and configuration
- Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and resident experience
- Support onboarding of new buildings and portfolios with smooth transitions
Commercial & Performance Focus
- Drive strong cash collection and minimise arrears and bad debt
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as collection rates, ageing debt and cash flow
- Manage relationships with external partners (debt recovery, legal, payment providers)
Customer & Stakeholder Experience
- Ensure all resident interactions are handled with clarity, professionalism and empathy
- Partner closely with operational teams to resolve queries and improve processes
- Design simple, transparent resident‑facing billing and payment experiences
Team Growth & Leadership
- Begin as a standalone role and build and lead the AR team as the business scales
- Shape a culture focused on accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement

- Proven experience managing accounts receivable in a high-volume environment, ideally within real estate or residential property
- Experience designing processes and controls from scratch
- Strong track record of cash collection performance and arrears reduction
- Experience with finance systems and property management platforms
- Confidence working both hands‑on and strategically, with the potential to build and lead a team
