We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Build-to-Rent operator for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a premium residential community.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern, customer-focused environment where delivering exceptional resident experiences is at the heart of everything you do.
As the Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across apartments, communal areas and external grounds, ensuring the building is safe, compliant and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive and planned maintenance across the development.
- Complete minor repairs including painting & decorating, plumbing, joinery and general maintenance.
- Prepare apartments for resident move-ins and move-outs.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Complete statutory compliance checks including emergency lighting, fire alarms and other building safety systems.
- Maintain communal areas, amenities and external spaces, including jet washing, litter picking and grounds maintenance.
- Assemble, move and maintain furniture as required.
- Manage waste services including bin rotations and collection days.
- Support with parcel deliveries and general site logistics.
- Liaise with contractors and monitor works carried out on site.
- Accurately record maintenance tasks using property management systems.
- Maintain excellent communication with residents, providing updates on reported maintenance issues.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
- Attend emergency call-outs when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a customer-facing environment and takes pride in maintaining high-quality residential buildings.
- Previous experience within Build to Rent, residential property, PBSA, hospitality, facilities management or property maintenance.

- Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for residents.
- Experience using maintenance management software (desirable).
