The site's audience of over 6 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA-branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 18 years.
Purpose of the role: Resident Advisor seeks a hungry, tenacious salesperson to drive revenue from brands and non-promoter partners. This role is about leading the sales of media campaigns to companies looking to connect with our global electronic music audience, primarily across music tech, lifestyle and culture. You’ll be expected to prospect hard, close deals, and hit targets, while also generating leads and building relationships for deeper partnerships within our creative studio, 23:59. You’ll need to balance day-to-day pipeline management and campaign sales with a broader instinct for brand building and long-term commercial growth. - Sell digital advertising across RA’s media channels — from display to sponsored content
- Prospect new leads through outreach, networking and AI-powered research
- Develop new advertising campaign strategies aligned with client goals and audience behaviour
- Develop, build and maintain relationships with our media, brands and advertising partners across the culture and electronic music industry
- Manage individual Media sales pipeline ensuring all revenue targets are exceeded
- Develop pitch materials and sales narratives that connect brand goals with RA’s platform
- Generate and qualify brand leads for larger creative partnerships with 23:59
- Manage campaigns from initial brief to final reporting, working closely with Ad Ops
- Integrate AI tools into your daily work practice from research, outreach and managing the sales funnel
Requirements:
- 3+ years of direct sales experience with proven ability to win business and exceed targets
- A great understanding of the digital advertising landscape
- Proficiency in Google Ad Manager is preferred
- Enthusiastic aptitude for brands and the culture marketing work they do
- Embedded within their local scene with an existing network
- Relationships with advertising agencies would be advantageous
- An understanding of music technology products is desirable
- A passion and knowledge of electronic music culture are fundamental
- Outgoing personality who builds networks quickly, and can work as part of a team
- Keen adoption of AI tools for efficient reach and growth from the outset
What we offer you:
- Generous annual leave policies aimed at promoting work-life balance.
- Flexibility in working arrangements, offering hybrid or remote work options based on role requirements and location.
- Matching pension schemes and/or 401k.
- Comprehensive staff wellbeing initiatives, featuring regular activities and workplace programmes to support mental and physical health.
- This includes discounted Classpass memberships, and custom-fitted earplugs.
- Company-led social events, team lunches, and discounts on RA merch.
- Paid annual volunteering allowance, encouraging contributions to community projects and charities you care about.
- Regular company-wide Q&A’s with senior leadership, along with ongoing virtual educational training sessions for all staff.
