The site's audience of over 6 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA-branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 18 years.
Purpose of the role: We are looking for a Product Designer to join our Product Design team and focus on RA Pro — our platform for promoters, venues and event organisers. RA Pro helps our partners create, manage and grow successful events. You'll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data and Commercial teams to design experiences that help promoters achieve their goals while contributing to the future development of the platform.
This role is ideal for a designer with strong product thinking, excellent visual and interaction design skills, and experience working within established design systems. You'll be responsible for taking projects from discovery through delivery, helping to solve complex user problems and improve the experience of one of RA's most important products.
Key responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end experiences for RA Pro across web and mobile touch points.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders to understand problems and define solutions.
- Participate in discovery activities including user research, workshops and analysis of customer feedback.
- Produce sketches, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs for development.
- Contribute ideas and insights that help shape product direction and prioritisation.
- Simplify complex workflows and operational tasks into intuitive user experiences.
- Work closely with engineers throughout implementation to ensure quality execution.
- Maintain and contribute to the RA Design System and component library.
- Document design decisions, patterns and best practices.
- Use research, data and feedback to iterate and improve experiences.
A portfolio demonstrating strong product design thinking and visual craft. Experience designing digital products in a Product Design, UX Design or UI Design role. Strong UI and interaction design skills with a keen eye for detail. Experience using Figma and modern design workflows. Experience working with design systems and reusable component libraries. Confidence creating wireframes, prototypes and testing ideas with users. A good understanding of user-centred design and balancing user and business needs. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working within Agile product teams. Interest in complex B2B products, workflows or SaaS platforms.
What we offer you:
- Generous annual leave policies aimed at promoting work-life balance.
- Flexibility in working arrangements, offering hybrid or remote work options based on role requirements and location.
- Matching pension schemes and/or 401k.
- Comprehensive staff wellbeing initiatives, featuring regular activities and workplace programmes to support mental and physical health. This includes discounted Classpass memberships, and custom‑fitted earplugs.
- Company‑led social events, team lunches, and discounts on RA merch.
- Paid annual volunteering allowance, encouraging contributions to community projects and charities you care about.
- Regular company‑wide Q&A’s with senior leadership, along with ongoing virtual educational training sessions for all staff.
