About the Role of Residential Support Worker

As a Residential Support Worker, you'll be part of a dedicated team supporting children with a range of complex needs to build resilience, form positive relationships, and reach their full potential. Every shift is a chance to offer stability, encouragement, and positive role modelling.

This is a full‑time role working 40 hours per week, paying £13.50 per hour. Being a Residential Support Worker a rewarding but responsible role, and we welcome applications from experienced practitioners as well as those new to residential childcare who can demonstrate the right values and potential. There are genuine opportunities to grow within the role, including key working, mentoring colleagues, and leading shifts.

WhatYou'll Be Doing as a Residential Support Worker

• Providing high‑quality, child‑centred care that promotes safety, stabilityand wellbeing
• Buildingpositive, trusting relationships with children while maintaining professional boundaries
• Supportingchildren with daily routines, education, activities, health appointments and life skills
• Followingcare plans, risk assessments and behavioursupportstrategies
• Acting as a key worker for allocated children, taking responsibility for care planning and outcomes
• Maintainingaccurate, timely records and contributingtoreviews
• Workingcollaboratively with colleagues, and leading shifts when required
• Engagingrespectfully with families, social workers and other professionals
• Workingtowards yourLevel3 Diplomain Residential Childcare (if not already achieved)

• Level3 Diplomain ResidentialChildcare(or equivalent)
• Experienceworking with children or young people in any setting
• Experiencewithin a regulated care environment FullUK driving licence
