About Resi: Resi is the UK’s number one home extension company, transforming how homeowners design, plan and build. With over 10,000 projects nationwide and a 95% planning approval rate, we make architecture accessible and transparent through a digital platform that brings design, planning and build support together.
About the Role: We are looking for a freelance Video Editor with experience working with DaVinci Resolve to join Resi's marketing team on an ad hoc basis, up to 2 days per week. You will work closely with our Creative Lead to turn interview footage and home tour walkthroughs into engaging, watchable YouTube videos.
A lot of our shoots are run-and-gun - we go in with a direction, but it’s loose; so we need an editor who can take that raw material and find the story in it. Someone who thinks about pacing, emotion, and what keeps people watching. The edit is where a lot of the creative work happens, and we want someone who gets that.
This is a genuinely collaborative process. You won’t just be executing a brief, you’ll be working closely with the Creative Lead to shape how the content comes together, and bringing your own ideas about what could work.
All editing is done in DaVinci Resolve. You’ll be working directly within our project files alongside the Creative Lead, so fluency in DaVinci Resolve is essential from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Editing long-form YouTube videos from interview and home tour footage
- Cutting down YouTube videos into short-form vertical content for Instagram Reels and TikTok
- Collaborating closely with the Creative Lead throughout post-production
- Working within shared DaVinci Resolve project files alongside the wider team
About You:
- A strong storytelling instinct - the ability to take loose, unscripted footage and shape it into something with a clear emotional arc
- An understanding of audience and what makes someone stop, watch, and stay
- Instincts around hooks - what grabs attention and why
- Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve is a hard requirement - we work collaboratively within shared project files, so this isn’t something we can be flexible on
- Experience editing YouTube content and short-form vertical video
- Based in London and able to work on-site
Nice to Haves:
- Colour grading experience (we can also share this with the Creative Lead)
- Basic audio editing within DaVinci Resolve
- Motion graphics or animation (AE or Fusion)
Your Portfolio: We would love to see examples of your work! Please have a link to your portfolio in your CV, or send to us directly. We want to see:
- Examples of YouTube videos you’ve edited
- Examples of edited Reels or TikToks
- Architecture or home-related content is great to see, but not essential. What we really want to understand is how you think as an editor; how you find a story, build a moment, and keep an audience engaged.
