Do you feel ready to take your surveying career in a more modern, forward-thinking direction? We are hiring for a Digital Surveyor to join our in-house surveying team at Resi on a full-time permanent basis. If you’re excited by tech, variety and being part of a collaborative design-led business, this could be the move.
At Resi, we help everyday homeowners design, finance, and build their dream homes without the stress and, most importantly, without breaking the bank. With over 10,000 projects nationwide and a 95% planning approval rate, we make architecture accessible and transparent through a digital platform that brings all of these elements together. The innovations that we are bringing to market have genuinely never been seen in this industry before - we are at the forefront of changing a highly inefficient, costly, and frustrating customer experience.
As a Digital Surveyor at Resi, you will play a key role in capturing the existing measurements, footprint and layout of our clients’ homes - this information forms the foundation for our architectural designers to transform each property. Our projects span London and across the UK, so you’ll use a Resi car to drive to sites locally and occasionally further afield.
Responsibilities- Driving to our clients’ homes to conduct laser surveys of their properties using our Matterport Pro3 scanners
- Safely and accurately collecting important data, site details and information
- Providing professional and friendly customer service to our clients whilst on site, answering any queries they may have about the process
- Processing the collected survey data in office to create a digital twin of the property
- Working closely with our in-house architectural designers and planners to ensure a smooth and successful handover of the project
- Living the Resi values, and holding others accountable to them (Drive It, Do More with Less and Deliver with Love)
We know that every surveyor brings something different to the table, but to have the best chance of success in this role, we think you need to have:
- A full clean driving licence (essential!) with a minimum of 1 years’ experience driving in and around London, and a willingness to go further afield when required
- Experience in surveying or an adjacent field, for example private residential architecture
- Good communication and customer facing skills - as a surveyor you are the face of Resi, and often the first person our client meets from our team!
- A genuine interest in working in a non-typical architectural practice environment
Resi are a team of ~70 people based in the heart of Oval, South London. At Resi, you will have the opportunity to work differently, take control of, and really accelerate your career. Our success is all down to our wonderful people and their talent, and that’s why we treat our employees with the same respect and care as our customers. We pride ourselves in not just aiming to be the best in the industry, but also the best place to work - our collaborative, transparent and diverse culture, with a heavy focus on personal development, means that we don’t just grow homes, we grow people too. We have an ideas-led innovation culture and we really care about creating a diverse and inclusive team - so we welcome people from all backgrounds with different perspectives, ideas and experiences to work with us.
We offer our employees…
- 25 days of Annual Leave per year, plus Bank Holidays (33 days in total!)
- Birthday Leave after a year of employment
- Access to mental health support, therapy and coaching via Plumm and EAP
- On the job mentoring, coaching and learning & development
- Equipment and softwares that enable you to do your best work
- Enhanced parental leave
- Regular company-wide socials organised by the Resi social committee, and paid for by Resi
- Office and wider Workspace perks including snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments
- The chance to make a real impact on an ever-changing industry
- The opportunity to work in a team of super friendly, talented and passionate people - some of which you wouldn’t work with in a typical architecture practice!
