We are a company that works with children and young people in North Somerset based in Weston-Super-Mare. Reset WSM offers part-time alternative learning provision, school sessions, targeted groups, mentoring and support services.
This is a hybrid role for a Youth Mentor based in and around Weston-Super-Mare including North Somerset. The Youth Mentor will support young people by providing guidance, fostering personal development, and helping them overcome challenges to achieve their full potential.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Mentoring sessions
- Program planning
- Goal-setting
- Working collaboratively with families, schools, and community organisations to build a supportive environment for youth
- Tracking progress and maintaining detailed records of engagement and outcomes
Qualifications:
- Skills in mentoring, coaching, and supporting young people
- Experience in program planning and ability to set and track developmental goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with youth, families, and partners
- Knowledge of youth development, safeguarding, and child protection policies
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
