A well-established and forward-thinking insurance organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Claims Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy claims function. This role would suit an experienced Claims Handler who already has some leadership, supervisory or mentoring experience, or someone currently operating at Senior Claims / Deputy Team Leader level and ready to step up.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of commercial claims handlers, ensuring claims are handled accurately and within agreed SLAs.
- Act as a referral point for complex and disputed claims, liaising with insurers, loss adjusters and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor workloads, quality standards and team performance through audits, file checks and call listening.
- Support the Claims Manager with complaints handling and resolutions.
- Train, coach and mentor team members to drive performance and development.
- Manage your own caseload of commercial claims from FNOL through to settlement.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Produce regular MI and performance reports and contribute to insurer/partner meetings.
