Business Development Manager – Care Home Industry

Location: Worthing (Hybrid Working Available)

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE + OTE + Company Benefits

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business within the care home sector, offering a comprehensive procurement solution for consumables, medical supplies, and healthcare equipment. Your consultative approach will help clients streamline purchasing, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target care homes that would benefit from my clients’ solutions.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Implement a sales strategy and be able to work on your own initiative.
  • Generate new business through proactive outreach, networking, and strategic follow-ups.
  • Conduct client meetings and present tailored solutions.
  • Manage sales pipelines and forecast revenue opportunities.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand the company’s reach.
  • Use the Prima ERP system & Evolution X web to track and manage business activity.
  • Provide data-driven insights to help clients manage budgets and cut costs effectively.

  • Strong business development and relationship-building skills – You thrive in consultative sales and have a proven track record.
  • Confidence in client presentations and closing deals – You know how to pitch, persuade, and win business.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills – You can secure competitive agreements that benefit both clients and the business.
  • Ability to manage sales pipelines and forecast effectively.
  • IT-savvy – Comfortable using CRM systems, LinkedIn, and research tools for prospecting.
  • Full UK driving license & own transport – A company car may be available on a flexible salary package.
