  • Close collaboration with our Product team and Client Programme Lead to groom the backlog and plan each production update.
  • Report on sprint progress, velocity, and delivery risk to engineering leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in designing and personally develop new platform capabilities requested by current customers. This will involve hands-on development in our React Native front end, Kotlin backend or both.
  • Apply AI tools responsibly to deliver productivity benefits while maintaining full oversight.
  • Champion strong technical standards and best-practise software engineering: code reviews, unit testing, CI/CD, secure software development.
  • Take ownership of the Live Platform which comes with the right to challenge any code/change contributed by other teams that does not meet a Quality Standard you will be pivotal in agreeing.
  • Support the recruitment and training of engineers as we grow the team.
  • Manage 2nd line support for technical issues as per the Global support Standard Operating Procedure.
  • As we grow, help plan out how we’ll evolve the Live Platforms to support our deployments in other timezones.

The successful candidate will demonstrate

  • Strong problem-solving techniques and sound technical judgement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and facilitation skills.
  • A good understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile delivery.
