Overview
We are looking for a Permanent Full Time Head of Engagement based in our headquarters in Chelmsford, Essex.
Responsibilities
Your marketing, sales, or relationship development experience will be used to the full to lead the Employer Engagement and Communications teams to ensure their activities support the delivery of the Association’s goals. You will be versatile as each of these small teams operates at a tempo that requires you to traverse both the operational and tactical levels.
You must be able to build and sustain strong relationships across our six counties, including with the Association membership and third parties, as you will need to nurture and leverage productive internal and external relationships. Experience of relationship management, working with volunteers and local authorities is desirable.
You will prioritise the high demand for the resource and expertise of you and your team, and manage expectations to ensure you do not let people down. You should demonstrate how your work has contributed to the Association’s outputs, showing efficient use of resources and ensuring decisions are based on solid intelligence.
Requirements / Qualifications
This post is for 37 hours per week. You should be able to demonstrate relevant experience in marketing, sales, relationship development, and leadership of multiple teams. Experience of working with volunteers, local authorities, and building cross‑sector relationships is desirable.
Salary and Benefits
This position attracts a current salary of ÂŁ48,920 per annum plus a range of benefits:

- 25 days annual leave rising (1 day per year) to 30 days after 5 years (previous HM Armed Forces service and previous service in the Public Sector may attract additional entitlement)

- 15 Days Special Leave per year for volunteer military reserve commitments
