Mission

As a Reservations Agent, you will ensure all telephone and email enquiries are handled in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, maximising revenue opportunities, and maintaining the highest attention to detail in all reservation processes while embodying Meliá values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all telephone and email enquiries promptly and professionally in line with company standards
  • Answer calls within three rings, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
  • Manage and prioritise daily correspondence, including guest and client enquiries
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of room availability, rates, and revenue strategies
  • Be fully conversant with all reservation systems and procedures
  • Promote hotel facilities, services, and current promotions to maximise sales opportunities
  • Identify potential sales leads and contribute to revenue growth
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all reservation tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest, staff, and company information in line with regulations

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a similar reservations or customer service role
  • Knowledge of OPERA (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Fluency in English; additional Spanish is an advantage
  • Passion for customer service and hospitality
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
