Mission
As a Reservations Agent, you will ensure all telephone and email enquiries are handled in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, maximising revenue opportunities, and maintaining the highest attention to detail in all reservation processes while embodying Meliá values.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all telephone and email enquiries promptly and professionally in line with company standards
- Answer calls within three rings, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
- Manage and prioritise daily correspondence, including guest and client enquiries
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of room availability, rates, and revenue strategies
- Be fully conversant with all reservation systems and procedures
- Promote hotel facilities, services, and current promotions to maximise sales opportunities
- Identify potential sales leads and contribute to revenue growth
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all reservation tasks
- Maintain confidentiality of guest, staff, and company information in line with regulations
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a similar reservations or customer service role
- Knowledge of OPERA (preferred)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Fluency in English; additional Spanish is an advantage
- Passion for customer service and hospitality
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
