About The Role
As an Agriculture/Property Claims Director at Reserv, you will lead a team of claims professionals managing agriculture and property claims. Your expertise will drive operational effectiveness, utilizing technology and analytics to improve efficiencies and outcomes. You’ll play a vital role with the team, clients, and customers, ensuring high‑quality standards and compliance with regulatory, internal, and contractual SLAs. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and a strong understanding of claims, ideally with experience managing multi‑line portfolios across agriculture and property.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage teams of claims professionals handling agriculture and property claims across diverse accounts
- Consistently deliver on objectives, overcoming challenges to exceed operational and performance targets
- Implement and maintain best practices for claims handling (intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery) tailored to agriculture and property claims
- Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement specific to agriculture and property sectors
- Ensure alignment of team performance with client and customer expectations for the claims process
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or disputed claims, offering strategic direction and resolution
- Ensure the accuracy and adequacy of claim reserving practices across all managed claims
- Develop and execute strategies to mitigate fraudulent claims and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and encouraging professional development
- Take ownership of performance management; attract, hire, retain, and train high‑performing claims professionals with expertise in agriculture and property claims
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Account Management, Compliance, and Claim Operations to resolve escalated or high‑complexity claims issues
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including farmers, landowners, policyholders, agents, brokers, and legal representatives
- Prepare and present detailed claims reports, metrics, and analysis to clients, offering expert advice on claims trends and risk mitigation strategies specific to agriculture and property
Qualifications
- Chartered Institute qualifications minimum of DIP CII or equivalent (working toward will be considered)
- 10+ years in insurance claims management experience in multiple lines of business, preference for property, general liability and/or motor with bodily injury experience
- 8+ years management experience with preference for remote environment
- Comfortable with technology and able to evolve claims systems and processes to drive better efficiencies and outcomes
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Integrity, ethics, and a strong sense of accountability in handling confidential and sensitive information
