Reserv is an insurtech creating and incubating cutting-edge AI and automation technology to bring efficiency and simplicity to claims. Founded by insurtech veterans with deep experience in SaaS and digital claims, Reserv is venture-backed by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures and began operations in May 2022. We are focused on automating highly manual tasks to tackle long-standing problems in claims and set a new standard for TPAs, insurance technology providers, and adjusters alike. We have ambitious (but attainable!) goals and need people who can work in an evolving environment. If building a leading TPA and the prospect of tackling the long-standing challenges of the claims role sounds exciting, we can't wait to meet you.

As the Product Development Lead for AiDE, Reserv Inc.'s newest initiative, you will be defining a new product line and its growth potential for years to come. AiDE was created to bring Reserv's in-house claim technology to market participants via a simple cost plus model. You will sit at the intersection of our carrier customers, the London market, and our engineering team — helping drive the product roadmap and acting as a liaison to customers as they transition their operational process to AiDE's offerings.

For this role, we are seeking a product-minded insurance technologist who knows the London market intimately and is comfortable going deep on data. This role will require you to be the technical face of AiDE with carriers, translate market needs into a prioritized roadmap, and work hand in hand with engineering and product management to ship products that drive outcomes for carriers.

What you will do:

  • Partner with AiDE's product manager to shape the roadmap, serving as the team's London market expert — you bring the domain knowledge of carrier and delegated authority workflows, BDX reporting, and the practical realities of where the two break down.
  • Apply that market experience to a new product offering where features must be based on informed hypotheses versus solid customer feedback — anticipating carrier needs they haven't yet articulated and helping the team avoid building the wrong thing.
  • Dive into carrier operational processes to find improvements that reduce manual effort and improve the economics of delegated authority business, translating what you find into detailed, precise specifications and ruthlessly prioritizing what is a must-have, nice-to-have, or irrelevant.
  • Manage the carrier relationship from a technical standpoint — as the technical liaison pre-sale (discovery sessions, scoping integrations, demos and pilots) and as the product owner post-sale, helping carriers integrate AiDE into their existing workflows and staying accountable for their success long after go-live.
  • Influence the culture, values, and processes of a growing product and engineering team.
  • Enjoy and have fun being creative and thinking outside of the box. You'll need to draw on analogous situations you've worked on before, but we are not traversing well-traveled roads.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in product or technical account roles within insurance, with meaningful exposure to the London market and delegated authority business.
  • Working knowledge of bordereaux and cash book reconciliation, as well as a vision for where the market needs to go.
  • A proven ability to interface with high value carrier customers and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Strong enough technical skills (SQL, ideally Python) to be credible with engineers, interrogate data yourself, and pressure-test what is feasible.
  • A track record of shipping high quality product at a high cadence and an ability to think through customer requirements and prioritize what is a must-have, nice-to-have, or irrelevant.
  • A passion for building intuitive technology, a thirst for learning, and the willingness and ability to take over tasks outside your core competency.

At Reserv, we value diversity in backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences and believe that diversity in viewpoints and critical thinking drives innovation, first-principles thinking, and success. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage those from all walks of life to apply.
