Established in 1958, the network operates in 10 countries and includes over 60 specialised companies. This is a full-time, mostly remote, role based across London and the South East. The Small Works/Projects Manager will oversee and manage the delivery of small fire safety system projects. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and scheduling projects
- Coordinating with clients and internal teams
- Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Managing budgets
- Supervising contractors and on-site works to ensure timely and quality completion
- Communication and reporting to stakeholders
Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Manager, you will work independently, using your professional judgment to drive results and act as the primary point of contact for clients.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in the Fire Industry, including Install and Commissioning
- FIA Qualifications or equivalent with knowledge of BS5839
- Project Management Expertise – Ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget
- Customer Service Skills – Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Leadership & Team Management – Experience in guiding engineers and subcontractors effectively
- Organisational Skills – Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Problem-Solving & Risk Management – Skilled at identifying issues and implementing solutions
- Financial Awareness – Competence in budgeting, quoting, and maintaining profitability
- Health & Safety Compliance – Knowledge of H&S regulations and safe working practices
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- FIA qualifications such as Design and Risk Assessment are desirable
- Project Management Qualifications i.e. PRINCE2, APM or PMP is advantageous
