Resourcery Group are proud to be supporting a wonderful charity based in Ormskirk to recruit a Finance Team Leader to join the organisation on an interim basis, to provide hands-on support and leadership to the transactions team.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a transactional finance team, providing coaching, performance management and day-to-day operational support across payables and receivables.
- Own the administration and control of the finance system, including user access, approval permissions and adherence to internal governance frameworks.
- Oversee core financial controls such as bank, cash and balance reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and driving continuous process improvements.
- Support the production of management reporting by ensuring timely, accurate transactional data and optimising finance systems and workflows.
- Manage end-to-end customer billing and income processes, including recurring and ad-hoc invoicing, third-party claims and issue resolution.
- Oversee accounts receivable and credit control activity, including direct debit administration, debt management and regulatory compliance.
- Control supplier payments, staff expenses and card-based payment processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and on-time settlement.
- Act as a key finance contact across the organisation, supporting audits, responding to stakeholder queries and providing flexible cover within the wider team.
- AAT qualified (or studying towards AAT), with a solid understanding of finance systems and transactional processes.
- Highly capable with IT and data tools, including advanced spreadsheet skills, with strong attention to detail.
- A confident, supportive people manager who can motivate and support team members effectively.
- Positive, proactive and resilient, able to stay calm under pressure and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
